Volunteer with On Wings of Hope!

One of the greatest needs of inmates returning to society is faith-based transitional housing. We are committed to proactively engaging this need in our community. In 2022, On Wings Like A Dove has begun a new initiative, On Wings of Hope. 

Our On Wings of Hope Men’s House and our On Wings of Hope Women’s House are both open with residents participating in this effective 12-month closely managed faith-based program. Upon completion, our On Wings of Hope residents will have gained life skills, employment opportunity, confidence, and a new sense of what it means to be a good citizen in a healthy community.

Opportunities to Volunteer with On Wings of Hope

  • Tasks: Development of an ongoing mentoring relationship with a resident of our On Wings of Hope houses
  • Time Commitment: Weekly and timely engagement, encouragement, and Gospel accountability
  • Notes: This Opportunity requires an interview and then completion of Mentor Training with our Mentor Coordinator, scheduled at various times throughout the year.
  • Tasks: Provide transportation to and from various appointments for On Wings of Hope residents, especially during their first month in the program
  • Time Commitment: Flexible
  • Notes: We welcome your availability; we will work with you within the schedule you share with us
  • Tasks: Lawn care, flower bed management, hedge and tree trimming, and general landscaping at our On Wings of Hope houses and at our office location
  • Time Commitment: Flexible and seasonal, often scheduled at particular times
  • Notes: We will provide materials and supplies unless donated
  • Tasks: Minor household repairs, installation of shelving and accessories, minor maintenance
  • Time Commitment: Flexible
  • Notes: We will provide materials and supplies unless donated
